EU Learning Lab meeting on Public Procurement of Innovation
Innovation through public procurement is much needed. It helps public authorities to tackle local or national challenges and improve their efficiency.
It stimulates green growth and provides jobs. It supports SMEs and working with local suppliers, thereby making regions more competitive. For this public procurers and project managers need to engage with the private sector at an early stage, to define their needs in a functional way. In this EU Learning Lab meeting on Public Procurement of Innovation, organized on 14-15 December on the brink of ISMC 2011, participants will learn from the practical experience of others through interactive cases and sessions. You will actively engage in formulating solutions and generate practical ideas on how to bring public procurement of innovation further within your own organization. Participants are procurement agencies (EUlab), policy advisors and project managers responsible for programmes aimed at changing public sector processes, products or services.
The meeting is organized by PIANOo in cooperation with Consip S.p.A. The complete programme can be found online at www.pianoo.nl/EULearningLab2011.
