Prestigious international award for Arno de Schepper

For his work and contribution to the development of the profession, the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) has awarded Prof. Arno de Schepper “The Hans Ovelgönne Award” at the bi-annual council meeting in Amsterdam end of September.

Candidates for the IFPSM Hans Ovelgönne - Purchasing Research Award come from universities, companies or associations, and are recognized for their outstanding contribution to the development of purchasing, materials management and logistics through research and development studies and works.

This award is presented annually to one or two persons, recognized by an awards committee as having rendered an outstanding contribution to the profession. Prof. de Schepper received the award from the IFPSM chairman, Mr. Paul Novak for his contribution as chairman of the NEVI Research Association (NRS). In this position, Prof. de Schepper made sure that the purchasing profession receives academic attention at Dutch universities.

Prof. de Schepper is also chairman of the NEVI Purchasing Excellence steering committee.
