Start of Unique Purchasing- and Supply Chain congress
Joint forces of industry, public sector and NGO’s for sustainable and effective innovation.
Fragile economic recovery in Western Countries, fast growth of upcoming markets, increasing shortage of raw materials and vast increase of the energy consumption does not only result in winners but also losers. The competitive position of companies can be strenghtened by sustainable enterpreneurship and supply chain innovation boundary condition for further economic recovery.
On Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd December 2010 the first International Supply Management Congress 2010 will take place in the RAI Amsterdam. A new unique knowledge and network event that will gather the worlds of purchasing and supply chain management around sustainable and innovative business. The congress is a joint initiative of NEVI (knowledge network for purchasing and supply management), Alfa Delta Compendium, AkzoNobel, Rabobank and IDH (Sustainable Trade Initiative).
Through inspiring speakers, new insights, case studies and interaction, the congress will offer participants the chance to gather knowledge, exchange experiences and define actions around durability and purchasing innovation, hence giving an important impulse to the preservation of value chains.
The instigators are bundling their forces and integrate the NEVI Annual congress, the CPO-day and the Sustainable Trade-Congress to THE congress in purchasing and supply (chain) management in the Netherlands.
Increase of knowledge sharing
Through this initiative the organizing parties are facilitating knowledge sharing, exchange of experiences and (inter)action around sustainable and innovative purchasing, and the stimulation of participants to develop further in these areas.
