The Launch of Corporate Social Responsibility Starter Kit in Shanghai
- A practical tool to implement CSR in supply chain management -
The Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai and the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China are delighted to invite you to a CSR event on June 8:
Introduction
The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs is financing the 2010 CSR program in China to promote CSR within the supply chain of Dutch companies in China. BenCham is honoured to cooperate on this program and strongly believes in this CSR project, as we feel that integration of Corporate Social Responsibility in your business is essential for the future.
The CSR Starter Kit provides an overview of the complexities companies need to consider in China. It provides basic ideas regarding responsible practices in the workplace, community and the environment. Furthermore, it covers issues such as health and safety, business practices and product stewardship. In short, it supports cooperation between Chinese and Dutch partners regarding CSR.
The event will kick off with the Consul General for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai, Mr. Eric Verwaal, addressing the audience and stress the importance of CSR. Ms. Gerdien Dijkstra (CSR Netherlands) will give a presentation on CSR & sustainable sourcing in China. After that, Mr. James Zhang will give a presentation to emphasize the importance of supply chain's role in CSR.
