PE Projects
Purspective, being part of the Dutch Purchasing Association “NEVI”, is in charge of the program management for Purchasing Excellence (referred to as PE).
Initiated in 2002, significant results have been achieved in these programs.
At the end of 2006 Purspective launched the latest program in this series, PE 2, with the objective to develop practical approaches for the most important purchasing processes and implement these in practice.

Purchasing Excellence 2
(2007-present)
The newest PE program builds on the basis set by PE 1. Having established a sound supply base and commodity management (CSD) organizations face new challenges for further improvements and professionalizing. Based on the CSD, the focus of PE 2 is on the most differentiating processes;
- Strategic Cost Management;
- Supplier Relationship Management;
- Supplier Integration in Value Delivery;
- Supplier Integration in Value Creation.

Purchasing Excellence 1
(2002-2006)
This program compared purchasing practice in the Netherlands with the purchasing performance of the best companies in the world. The final conclusion in 2006 was that Dutch companies are aware of the best practices, but they have difficulty applying them.

Purchasing Excellence
not-for-profit
(2005 - present)
Based on the positive results achieved in PE 1 in the profit sector, the approach has been adjusted for the public sector.
The framework model (MSU model) has been adjusted and the CSD approach has been stimulated in this sector.

Purchasing Excellence
construction sector
(2007 - present)
Based on the positive results achieved in PE 1 in the profit sector and not-for-profit sector, the question arose to translate this program to the Dutch construction sector (‘SPIN’).
In order to do this the framework model (MSU model) had to be adjusted for the specifics of this sector.
