Product development has become an important vehicle in developing or maintaining a strong position in an increasingly competitive environment. However, the demands on new product creation performance, in terms of speed, performance and cost, are becoming difficult to meet.

Involving suppliers early in the development process should be considered. The possibility of integrating suppliers into the Product Creation Process presumes a very intensive co-operation between your organization and its suppliers. If successfully done, it can be an enormous advantage in flexibility in design, costs, time-to-market, etc.
